Not just for play time, they’re also incredibly useful for bath time. It’s super soft on the knees and fully waterproof.

This double-sided play mat features the Afrikaans alphabet, helping your little one learn letters, build early literacy skills, and explore language in a fun, interactive way, while the reverse side displays a subtle rainbow pattern. The thoughtfully balanced colour palette adds visual interest while staying soft enough to suit a beautifully styled living space.

Before First Use

After unboxing your Kleintjie play mat, give it a little time to relax and settle into its natural shape. Unroll the mat and lay it flat on a smooth surface. If needed, gently roll the mat in the opposite direction, secure it with the Velcro straps, and allow it to rest in the box for a short period before use.

Each Kleintjie play mat includes two Velcro straps, making it easy to roll up, store, and take your mat wherever playtime goes. Be sure to keep them for easy use whenever you need them.
Care Instructions

Little ones can be messy, so we’ve made our play mats easy to care for. Simply wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth to keep your mat looking fresh.

For everyday cleaning:

  • Shake the mat outside to remove any loose debris
  • Wipe the surface with a soft cloth and mild soapy water
  • Use a gentle, non-acidic detergent if needed
  • Allow the mat to dry completely before flipping or using again
  • Always place your play mat on a dry surface

To help prolong the life of your Kleintjie play mat, we recommend the following:

  • Avoid sharp objects, direct sunlight, strong abrasive cleaners, bleach, and heat sources
  • Do not place heavy furniture on the mat, as some indentations may not fully recover
